My books are set in tumultuous times, allowing the exploration of whether there are inherent traits in human beings that push us to repeat history.

Perfect for fans of time-travel fiction, historical romance, and thought-provoking drama.
This is a story of survival. It is set in a tumultuous time period- the start of the Third Crusade. Despite challenges to his reign, Richard II left Britain immediately after his coronation to lead the Third Crusade. This power vacuum opens to door to sinister posturing among those who were politically relevant.
Set in 1189 York, England, the story follows Adrian Mendelson, a woman from the future who must conceal her Jewish heritage after being unexpectedly transported back in time. She is initially challenged just to survive. Then she is challenged to find happiness in this time period. To avoid imprisonment for stealing food, she agrees to work for Elias Smith, a widower and blacksmith, as an unpaid servant. She struggles with knowing an horrific event is coming to York shortly that she cannot stop. As her relationship with Elias deepens, Adrian’s fabricated past creates emotional barriers between them. Using her knowledge of the future, she introduces advanced inventions made from iron to help Elias gain recognition. This leads to a royal commission to create swords for the Third Crusade that rival Damascus steel. Adrian knows it has taken scientists centuries to unravel the secrets of Damascus steel. As such, she does not want to take on the task, which causes tension between her and Elias. Their story explores themes of oppression, the impact of individual actions on history, and parallels to contemporary political issues.
